Rates for Conferences & Retreats

These rates apply only to expenses paid on a UW budget, regardless of a group’s UW affiliation. If paying otherwise, please refer to Conferences Standard Rates.

Conference Fee (per participant)

Each conference participant will be charged a nightly conference fee in addition to housing and dining charges. Accompanying family members are exempt.

Bedding: Housing rates include two flat sheets (fitted sheets not available), a pillow with pillowcase, blanket and a towel per bed.  Weekly linen exchange (on Fridays, 8-8:30 am) provided free of charge.


Conference organizers should contact Laurie Spaulding (spauldla@uw.edu) to arrange for conference meals. Meals for children 10 and under are half price.

In addition to standard breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, the Dining Hall can accommodate special meal requests, provide fruit or snack trays, coffee service, etc., at additional cost.

  • Rowboats3: free of charge
  1. The seven Whiteley Cottages are generally reserved for Whiteley Scholars, though may sometimes be available for use by conferences.
  2. A student is any person enrolled in a university, college, or K-12 school.  Anyone else is a non-Student.
  3. Use of rowboats requires a rowboat orientation. For orientations scheduled after hours, there is a $50 charge. For more information, please contact Kristy Kull.
