Friday Harbor Labs’ intranet is intended for those currently staying or working at FHL. The primary contacts listed on each page maintain the information included in this section, but questions can also be directed to fhl@uw.edu.

Emergency and Safety Information

In the event of an emergency, call 911.

In response to FHL’s emergency horn:

• Leave the lab or housing unit ASAP.
• Check on your neighbors to make sure they are also leaving.
• Meet in the Fernald parking lot. Check in with the Evacuation Director and await further instructions.

FHL Maintenance Request

If a repair is needed in your housing unit or lab space, please contact the Front Office Coordinator, who will know whom to contact for the job.

Student Shop

To use the FHL Student Shop, you first must complete a safety training. After you have taken the training and handed in a signed Shop Agreement Form, you may request a personal access code here: https://fridayharborlabs.wufoo.com/forms/kwjmik18jn0mp/

FHL Course & Workshop Students: your training and access code will expire when your course/workshop ends.

All Others: your training and access code will expire after two years.

DO NOT SHARE YOUR CODE, or allow any one else (other than your watcher) into the Shop with you when you enter it. The codes allow us to track who has entered the Shop when, and we will hold you responsible for any mess, damage or injury that occurs when your code has been used to enter.
