Rates for Conferences & Retreats

These rates apply to any expenses that are not paid on a UW budget, regardless of a group’s UW affiliation. They are higher than budget rates because the University of Washington adds institutional overhead.

Conference Fee (per participant)

Each conference participant will be charged a nightly conference fee in addition to housing and dining charges. Accompanying family members are exempt.

Bedding: Housing rates include two flat sheets (fitted sheets not available), a pillow with pillowcase, blanket and a towel per bed.  Weekly linen exchange (on Fridays, 8-8:30 am) provided free of charge.

Dining

Conference organizers should contact Megan Connelly (meganc22@uw.edu) to arrange for conference meals. Meals for children 10 and under are half price.

In addition to standard breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, the Dining Hall can accommodate special meal requests, provide fruit or snack trays, coffee service, etc., at additional cost.

Boat Use

  1. A student is any person enrolled in a university, college, or K-12 school.  Anyone else is a non-student.
  2. The seven Whiteley Cottages are generally reserved for Whiteley Scholars, though may sometimes be available for use by conferences.
  3. Use of rowboats requires a rowboat orientation. For orientations scheduled after hours, there is a $58 charge. For more information, please contact Kristy Kull.
