For Course Students

Friday Harbor Labs follows the same rules as UW Seattle campus. There are no restrictions on movement, no testing requirements prior to arrival, and masking indoors is recommended but not required except under certain situations. Review our COVID-19 Response page and the UW flow chart of procedures for if you test positive, are exposed to someone who tested positive, or have symptoms.  FHL provides antigen test kits free of charge to students; they are always available in the Front Office.

Students who do not feel well should remain in their housing unit, take an antigen test, and follow the next steps noted in the flow chart linked above. Students who test positive will be asked to isolate for several days; FHL will make arrangements to make sure isolating students receive meals and other necessities.

Subject to Alteration: COVID procedures are subject to alteration depending on the status of the pandemic. New regulations may be established after you’ve arrived at FHL, such as restrictions on leaving San Juan County or on entering restaurants/bars. By taking a course at FHL, you are agreeing to be subject to these rules should they change.
