This course is offered as part of the Spring Marine Studies (SMS) program.

This course presents fundamentals of ocean science through the use of local and regional case studies that illustrate the relationship between interdependent physical, chemical, biological,  and geological process. Students apply tools from these scientific disciplines to understand the factors that shape oceanic environments and how they could change in the future.

This course is required for the UW Marine Biology major and minor.
