*Spring 2026 applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. In order to be considered for placement in courses, apply within the timeframe listed. Once courses are full, qualified applicants will then be placed on waitlists. Feb. 28, 2026 is the last day applications will be accepted.
**Priority will be given to applicants who apply by the deadline. Applications will be accepted beyond the due date if space is available.
Travel Planning for Arrival and Departure
It may take up to half a day to travel between Seattle and Friday Harbor; if you are flying into Seattle from another city in the U.S. or internationally, you may need to spend the night near the Seattle airport in either or both travel directions. See Getting to & Arriving at FHL.
Class Times
FHL courses and research apprenticeships require a full-time commitment, normally all day Monday-Friday in Spring and Autumn Quarters, Monday-Friday plus Saturday mornings for summer courses. Reach out to your instructor if you need to leave campus during normal class time.
