Our seminar this week is “The initiation and evolution of fault zones in basalt” by Dr. Juliet Crider who is visiting FHL from UW Earth and Space Sciences.
She will arrive around 11:00AM and will eat lunch in the dining hall with the FHL graduate students.

2016 Illg Lecturer is Todd Oakley
We are very pleased to announce that Professor Todd Oakley from UCSB, will be the Illg Lecturer this year.
Todd is an evolutionary biologist and professor at UC Santa Barbara, and he will present a public lecture on July 11, 7:30PM at the San Juan Community Theater and a scientific lecture on July 13, 7PM at the FHL Commons.
2016 FHL Summer Seminar begins today
A warm welcome on a cool day to our FHL summer A term students whom have arrived over the weekend!
We also expect all of the FHL Blinks/NSF REU/BEACON internships to arrive later today.
Summer begins at FHL
Here it is June 1, and summer is beginning at FHL! We had a very busy spring and the students are giving their final research talks on Thursday of this week, finishing their papers, and then moving back to Seattle.
