Working With Classes

When developing projects for students we work directly with local K-12 teachers.  Each project is designed to enrich and supplement existing curriculum, building upon the area of study of each grade and previous years of FHL Science Outreach Programming. Students grow from simple projects helping them to distinguish between local flora and fauna to practicing complex, college level chemistry and biology. Real Research

While FHLSOP’s goal is to help foster excitement and a personal connection to scientific research, many of the projects that students participate in have real scientific applications. Students as young as 4th grade collect data that scientists at FHL and beyond use. Giving students the opportunity to conduct science and collect useful data is an exciting experience for students, helping them visualize themselves as potential future researchers.

FHLSOP also provides programs for visiting schools according to your interests and needs.
