Over the past year, members of the FHL community have contributed to a strategic plan with the aim of revitalizing FHL’s human resources and aging facilities so that it can continue to inspire scientists and students from around the world.

One of (many) hard things about the COVID-19 pandemic, for the whole world, was the drastic curtailing of human interactions. We felt this at FHL, of course, but also suffered from the fact that resident and visiting scientists were restricted from spontaneous collaborations like the one discussed in this month’s Tide Bite.

FHL is excited to announce the 2023 Illg Lecturer: Dr. Rachel Collin, Director of the Smithsonian’s Boca Del Toro Research Station in Panama. She will be speaking in the FHL Commons on Tuesday, August 8th, and at the Community Theatre on Wednesday, August 9th.
