The theme for the current UW campaign is TOGETHER, and I think often of how much more can be accomplished when people work together than when they are at odds with one another. This is an important theme in this election year when divisive politics changed the tenor of many people’s interactions. At UW, we will continue to be inclusive and celebrate diversity of people, thoughts and opinions. It has been a good year for FHL and we look forward to the next year with excitement.

This month’s Tide Bite describes magnet sensitivity in chitons, using a special set up at FHL to test for magnetoreception.
