Here it is June 1, and summer is beginning at FHL! We had a very busy spring and the students are giving their final research talks on Thursday of this week, finishing their papers, and then moving back to Seattle. What a terrific group of students! We will miss them.
Meanwhile, researchers are beginning to arrive in droves, taking advantage of the early low tide in the first week of June. We are looking forward to a busy and productive summer here with our BLINKS/REU/BEACON internship, summer courses, and many researchers working here. We hope that you read about some of that research in future Tide Bites!
In this month’s Tide Bite, Shawn Luttrell talks about amazing work on regeneration of hemichordates that she is doing in the Swalla research lab. Shawn is a wonderful graduate student, so you will enjoy reading about her work.
