These rates are higher than UW budget rates in order to cover overhead and depreciation as required by UW. All prices have been rounded up, so actual charges may be slightly less.

A Field Trip consists of enrolled students that come to FHL in pursuit of marine studies.

Prices are subject to 8.1% Sales Tax (students exempt)

Student Housing (per student)

Students stay in shared (double) dorm rooms or huts. Room costs include two flat sheets (fitted sheets are not available), a pillow with pillowcase, two blankets and a towel.

  • Bed in shared dorm room: $23/day

Instructor Housing (per unit)

Instructors and teaching assistants are housed in various units. They will be charged for housing according to the unit prices listed for researchers. Instructors will also be charged Facilities Use Fee, as listed on the Researcher & Scholar Standard Rates.

Facilities Use Fee (per instructor)

All instructors for the field trip will be charged a Facilities Use Fee, unless the group is renting a lab building (the fee for which includes the Facilities Use Fee.)

Dining

Field trip participants are expected to purchase full meal plans. Organizers should contact Laurie Spaulding (spauldla@uw.edu) to arrange for meals.

  • Rowboats (*) are free of charge
