Applications Due May 15th. All other applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.

We will continue to accept applications after July 1st if space is available.

Program Options

Students can select one of three 15-credit research apprenticeships being offered.  All of these apprenticeships are targeted toward upper-level undergraduates and post-baccalaureates:

  1. Biodiversity and Monitoring of Estuarine Ecosystems (FHL 472 A)
  2. Imaging Biology: Techniques, Technology, & Tools (FHL 472 B)
  3. Pelagic Ecosystem Function of the San Juan Archipelago (OCEAN 492 A)

Important Dates for Autumn Quarter

  • Classes begin Wednesday, Sept. 29th and end Friday, December 10th, 2021
  • Students should plan to check in at FHL on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 28th.
  • Students should plan to depart FHL on the evening of Friday, December 10th or early morning of Saturday, December 11th.
  • The first meal served will be dinner on Tuesday, September 28th.
  • The last meal served will be breakfast on Saturday, December 11th.
